Misota’s Internal 5S Excellence: Cultivating a Culture of Food safety and Quality
At Misota, workplace organization isn’t just a policy, it’s a competitive spirit. By launching an Internal 5S Competition, the company has turned the disciplined art of lean manufacturing into a celebrated team achievement, ensuring that every dried fruit product is born from a world-class environment.
The 5S Framework: Misota’s Operational DNA
To maintain its HACCP and BRCGS certifications, Misota utilizes the 5S methodology to eliminate waste and optimize flow:
- Sort (Seiri)
- Set in Order (Seiton)
- Shine (Seiso)
- Standardize (Seiketsu)
- Sustain (Shitsuke)
Rather than focusing on a single deep clean, this competition ensures year-round consistency. With four unannounced annual evaluations, the process keeps standards high every day, making food safety and quality a core part of our company culture.
All 15 groups across the company participated in this cycle, divided into two main categories:
- Group A: F4, ព្រះនាងលក្ស្មី (Princess Lakshmi), រាជនីព្រៃកូនសេក (Queen of Prey Kon Sek), QM, and ព្រះព្រហ្ម (Preah Prohm).
- Group B: Purple 66, ព្រះហរិ (Preah Hir), ZeroZero One, នាគដេក (Sleeping Dragon), សុរិយ (Soriya), សច្ច: (Sacho), ខ្លាឃ្មុំហោះ (Flying Bear), ព្រះហរ: (Preah Hor), ទទឹម (Pomegranate), and លង្កា (Lanka).
